Leadership and LIfe Coaching

Leadership COACHING

As a leader and a coach in various settings through the years I attended many leadership trainings and conferences and read all the new books. I was always a little put-off by “leadership” as a product. There is a flavor of the month vibe where new leadership models, acronyms, or catchy frameworks pop up or a repurposing of common-sense human skills dressed up with new jargon. It’s a buzzword industry with people trying to sell books and packages. Many of the creators of these programs have never led anything.

Most leadership “programs” condense complex human behavior into overly simple lists of tips, steps, or traits. Sometimes, the glossy vision of leadership often doesn’t match people’s lived experiences in organizations, where “leaders” don’t embody what is preached.

My focus is not on leadership as a brand or a checklist, but on the human being who is expected to lead. Every leader has a complex web of behaviors, beliefs, fears, and drives sitting under the surface. That is where the real work is. I do not tell leaders what style to adopt or what label to wear. I help them tune up the engine that runs all of it, so they can show up in the world with clarity, honesty, and the ability to move people forward.

Life Coaching

Anyone can call themselves a life coach. There are certification programs out there, but they aren’t backed by any real governing body, and they don’t require the kind of training and experience you would expect from someone who is helping people navigate the biggest parts of their lives. That does not mean there aren’t great coaches; it just means the quality depends entirely on the coach and their experience and training.

What makes me a little different is the depth of experience, education, and training I bring to the table. My background in counseling, performance psychology, performance coaching, and years of working with people through real change. This includes some of the most difficult populations, including addiction treatment and juvenile justice kids and families. My experience also includes incredibly high-performing leaders and world-class athletes, MVPs, and Olympians.

I understand the science of behavior, the art of motivation, and the very human struggles that sit underneath both. My approach uses proven tools and hard-earned insight to help people uncover what is really driving them, break out of stuck patterns, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
